The EMF Reader is a tool that allows the player to find the ghost room and potentially get EMF 5 as evidence.

Function[]

Players must activate the EMF Reader to be able to gain a reading for either the ghost's favorite room, activity from the ghost, or evidence.

List of ways to gain activity for the EMF Reader to pick up:

  • Talking to the Spirit Box near it
  • Have it near throwable items in a room
  • Have it near the door if it closes or opens on its own
  • Have it near the windows or light switch in a room
  • Pick up if the breaker box turns off

Trivia[]

  • The EMF Reader was updated at some point with a new model, though the old one could be found in the Alleyway.
  • Each of the levels of the EMF Reader has a beeping sound that progressively gets louder depending on the reading.
  • If the EMF Reader was dropped on the ground while turned on, players can find it with the never-ending beeping sound.
  • At some point, it was considered to be nearly impossible to get EMF 5 for evidence.
